dear friends,
I met a big problem when i use Pest calibration of the Advanced option in WEAP model, after i had done all the options and clich "build files and run PEST" , a error warning always comes out and it says" activeX can not creat the object:'WEAP.WEAPApplication ' code:800A01AD ", I don't know how to solve this problem, and i had tried my best, but all those I did was not work. Is there anyone has the same experience and know how to deal with it?! Look forward to your reply! Thanks a lot
cheers

This sounds like WEAP did not get registered correctly with Windows when it was installed. Perhaps if you re-install WEAP it will solve the problem. Make sure to run the WEAP installation program "As Administrator". Also, it may help to run WEAP once as administrator after you have installed it.

Dear professor:
Thank godness! Thank you for replying me! it's so happy that i can contact with you and can feedback some problems.
Before I post the topic , My friend who is good at computer and I had tried install WEAP in XP SP3 , windows 7 SP1 system , and making sure that the system is complete and unmodified ,meanwhile running the WEAP installation program "As Administrator", but we all failed. You are right, it looks like WEAP did not get registered correctly with Windows when it was installed. But I'm so sorry to tell you that we try it in different computers, different systems, different WEAP versions, and also all running the WEAP installation program "As Administrator", the error still comes out when we try to run PEST. Could you please tell me the runtime environment when you run WEAP, and if the conditions allow, would you please help me to test it in a environment likes mine, such as a XP system computer without having installed WEAP before. Thanks a lot! God bless you!

Best regards

Perhaps you can manually "register" WEAP. Make sure WEAP is not running. Right click on the Windows "Command Prompt" program and choose “Run as admin”. In the command window, go to WEAP folder and run:

WEAP /regserver

Nothing visible will happen when you do this (you will not see WEAP start), but it should add the correct entries to the Windows Registry to allow you to run it outside the GUI.
