1) Demand site, under annual activity level what is the unit I should use for water demand for livestock? For example for domestic (cap), irrigation (ha), industry (ha),....

Thanking You

The question of livestock is a question of water demand, so it depends on how you plan to use that information to calculate demand.

For instance, do you have a constant value of livestock that thrive on a hectare, but you plan to expand the grazing area? As long as the livestock/hectar stays constant, then I would disagregate my demand to "hectares of livestock."

However, if you're want to examine the consumption of water based on the number of livestock alone, then I would use a per capita unit.

Note that if your demand site has units of hectares, you can only disaggregate it to cap/hectare (the first example). I would review "WEAP in One Hour/Entering Elements into the Schematic" in the WEAP Tutorial.

Thank you Stephanie Galaitsi
The livestock population I have is in number; so that I can use the unit per capita demand. Thank you for your suggestion.
