Hello everyone. I'm starting in WEAP and I wonder if, in the section of results can be exported, view and compare separately, future demands, water supply during the study period in each of the proposed scenarios.

Thanks
Ms. Stephanie Galaitsi

Hi Diego,

Your results can be exported. In the Results view, navigate to the results you are interested in. Then right click and select either "CSV" or "Export to Excel, depending on what you need. There are a few other options as well.

You can also save graphs to "Favorites" to continue looking at them as you build the model.

OK thanks. And could do analysis or display individual groups of scenarios demands vs. time from modeling made by WEAP ?. Likewise hydric display only offers from the hydrological model WEAP? Plus I could at the same time scale to make a difference Demand - Offer to have the deficit, something like a method to raise the threshold for the study of drought?

You can look at results over time, just be sure to select that in the results view. Almost all the variables have an option for displaying the results over years, which you can select at the bottom of the x axis.

As for changing the threshhold for demand based on drought, that would be something you could code in the Expression builder using the "if" statement. Then you can have your demand be determined by the presence or absence of a drought. Of course you will have to decide what defines being in drought: it is the level in your reservoir? Is it the total rainfall, is it the water in the rivers etc. etc.

Again thanks Stephanie. Really i am now defining a better deficit analysis tool, under different regional climatic scenarios projections, change soil use and water demands in long term, to analyse hydrologic risk model transfer in different watershed of São Paulo state. And in this moment the WEAP is the best option to approach the problem in my Tesis.

Do you know about the calibration process? WEAP have a any tool to ease this process?

Hi Diego,

WEAP does include a linkage to a parameter estimation tool (PEST) that allows the users to automate the process of comparing WEAP outputs to historical observations and modifying model paramters to improve its accuracy. To learn more, you can seat "PEST" in WEAP's help menu.
