Hellow WEAP users
I cited from WEAP user guide Runoff = Max (0, Precipitation available for ET – potential ET) + Precipitation*[effective precipitation] + Supply*[1- Irrigation Fraction] This function for Rainfall Runoff Method. In WEAP interface, where I can modify "irrigation fraction"? And what is definition of HU - hydro unit in WEAP? Thank you ! |

Dear Pham,
Irrigation fraction is the percentage of the supplied water available for ET consumption (i.e., irrigation efficiency). When using the Rainfall Runoff (soil moisture model), you can select whether to have irrigated areas in your catchment by right-clicking on the catchment in the schematic, going to "General Info" and checking "includes irrigated areas". Once that button has been clicked, you will see an additional tab for data entry in your catchment element called "Irrigation". The first sub-category is % of irrigated area ("Irrigated Area). Where do you see mention of HU? |

Thank you so much for your meticulous instruction.
It's very useful to me. I see "HU" in the WEAP manual, in the Runoff Algorithm Calculation part.(Along with notation "LC"-land Cover) |

Looks like it is "hydro-unit" (HU can sometimes also mean the Heat Unit).

Yes, but in this case, what does "hydro - unit" mean in WEAP?

Hydro unit, an abbreviation of hydrological unit, is a catchment.
