              Dear All,

I am beginner in this tool, so i need a help to you all. I am planning doing research about freshwater management in estuaries considering salinity of sea water wave through a river . Is it possible to do that? Thank you |

              Dear Muchamad,

The "Water Quality" section in the WEAP tutorial shows how salt can be modeled as a conservative (no decay) contaminant, but you'll have to be pretty creative above how the salt would get into the system. What time step are you planning to use? Because of the two tides every day bringing salt into the estuary, I think daily might be too large a time step, but WEAP may not be able to support smaller time steps very well. |
