Subject: Syntax for Excel Range in Yearly Time-Series Wizard if worksheet contains many columns Posted: 11/11/2016 Viewed: 12663 times
I have got a large spreadsheet with many columns of data. Each column represents a different demand site. I would like to use the Yearly Time-Series Wizard to produce forecast data using the linear or exponential forecast for my Reference Scenario. Column A of the spreadsheet is the year. How do I reference data in the second column if it is not next to Column A? I have tried the normal Excel syntax A1:A50,D1:D50 but this does not work. I have also created a named range but again unless the two columns are next to each other WEAP will not accept the Range. Can anyone recommend a simple work around for this? Thanks.

I can try to add this capability in a future version of WEAP. As a (cumbersome) workaround, you could create contiguous ranges in Excel for each set of data that you want to import into WEAP, by linking them to the original data.
