Hello,
I am trying to model eucalyptus and pine tress in my basin under the MABIA method. Since these are not available in the default crop library of WEAP, I added them as crop under the 'Tropical Fruits and Trees' category. I have changed the max. height of eucalyptus and pine trees to 30.5 and 40.0 m respectively and the max. root depth to 10.0 and 2.0m. As these trees are not harvested in one single year, I find decided to bring the 'total stage length days' as 365. However, this results in complete drain of the river. Is there a better way to represent the growth of these trees in the model? Thanks, Prajna |

Hi Prajna,
We suggest reviewing and possibly adjusting these parameters and seeing if it helps: 1. Soil water capacity 2. Infiltration rate 3. Percolation rate 1. Kcb 2. root depth Is the vegetation is draining the river or something else like soil physical properties? |
