gis river maps of different rivers is difficult. i m not able to find gis maps

Activate catchment delineation mode and click at point of interest in schematic map, u will find catchment of that particular area and river if sub catchment and branches of river you need click it with "ctrl" + "click" in sub basin area

A couple of notes here to help with delineating rivers and using shapefiles:
While using catchment delineation mode, you can move the mouse to the most upstream point of a river. At this point, when the mouse pointer becomes a cross, you can click, hold, and drag to move the water course which the river uses. You can use the setting on the right to show more/less water courses. You can also manually modify the river. To load shapefile maps in the schematic, you can right click in the GIS box on the left of the schematic above the mini-map and Add Vector Layer or Add Raster Layer. Make sure that it is in WGS 1984 coordinates. Finally, you can right click on the schematic --> Background Image Layer to load some of the built-in imagery. |
