Subject: PBIAS inversion (Calibration vs. Validation) in a Mediterranean catchment - WEAP
Posted: 10/8/2026 Viewed: 67 times Hello WEAP Community I am modeling the catchment (Mediterranean) using WEAP. I am facing a PBIAS inversion between calibration and validation:Calibration (1981-2011): NSE = 0.59, r = 0.82, PBIAS = +29% Validation (2012-2021): NSE = 0.54, r = 0.82, PBIAS = -28% The correlation (r = 0.82) is excellent in both periods, meaning the seasonal dynamics are well captured. However, the PBIAS reverses completely: from underestimation (+29%) to overestimation (-28%). Has anyone experienced a similar PBIAS inversion? How did you justify it in a scientific publication? Merci pour vos retours. |
