hi all
I need to create a diversion for a small hydroelectric plant, water is used for power generation returns to the main river, my question is if I connect the deviation and the main river again or do this deviation to the node where the hydroelectric plant and then I create a link flow return, clarified that in my case it does not matter but energy production flow deviation.
another question to enter the amount of water that is diverted is advisable to use a set monthly or maximum deviation.
Thank you.

Hi,

Why didn't you use runoff hydro? Could you test it?
and for your second question, it depends on you and your problem nature. You can enter by percent or by a time series.

Cheers,
