I asked if the 2010 current account is too old to publish an article or I should put data in a more recent year compared to 2016

That is probably more of a question for the editor, but I published a paper in March that used 2010 as the Current Accounts year. You could not (yet) use 2016 as your Current Accounts year, because that is the year you're supposed to have all the data for to frame the rest of the model, and since 2016 is not over, that data isn't available yet. I think 2010 should be fine.
