Subject: Losses Rate

Dear WEAP Community,

I have a question in regard to Losses Rate of Demand sites.

It is indicated in the user guide loss rate increases supply requirement but is not lost from the system. Would you please clarify what is meant by not lost from the system, and where such losses will end in ? Is it for example linked to groundwater ??

In my study area, two types of losses are defined (Distribution Losses / Unaccounted for Water) and Customer Side Leakage (Part of Accounted For Water), as I can imagine the final destination of these losses are to possibly to groundwater bodies / the case could be losses to multiple groundwater from one demand site / transmission link. Would you please clarify how these can be modeled in WEAP ?

You answer is highly appreciated,

Kind Regards
