Subject: Changing demand does not affect on the flow requirement in the downstream

Hi there,
I've created a small reach of river in WEAP model. This river has 4 demand site with considerable amount of consumption. Also, I have a river gauge to check the minimum flow requirement for ecological purposes in the end of reach. The head river head flow is taken from the simulation of other model (inlet to this reach)for the period of 2008-2040. I've entered the value of water demands are constant for the whole period of simulation and changing these value of demand (with high value which is expected to make unmet demands), however, the unmet stream flow requirement does not change for different value of demands. Also, the unmet demands still zero. I already made a transmission links to demands. Can anyone help me to fix this issue?

Many thanks in advance,
Salam

HI Salam,

First, can you clarify: Have you built a streamflow gauge node, or a flow requirement node? It sounds like you need a flow requirement node.

If you have built a flow requirement node, what is the demand priority on the flow requirement versus the demand sites in the system? If the demand sites have no unmet demands, but the flow requirement has less than 100% coverage, then there is probably a difference in demand priorities.
