I am getting quite low supply delivered to the demand site that makes the unmet demand quite high. How can I correct this that to increase the supply delivered to the demand site and a little bit minimize the high unmet demand? Any suggestion? Thanks

Dear Yitea,
Without seeing your model, it is difficult for me to guess at the specifics of your problem. Generally, WEAP does it's best to meet demands, addressing first any Demands of Priority 1, then Priority 2, etc. If your Demand Site is not having its needs met, it is because there is not enough water in the system to meet all demands. If the high unmet demand does not seem to reflect reality, there are several parameters you might need to correct in your model. In addition to Headflow (for your river), most systems receive inflow from the adjacent land (from surface runoff and/or deeper interflow). Depending on the method you have selected for each catchment (see Advanced tab in the Data view for each catchment), you can alter the amount of water that infiltrates into the soil, the speed at which water moves through the sub-surface, etc. These parameters will affect how much water is in the river and thus how much is available to meet demands. For more about these parameters and how to set them, see the Soil Moisture Method section of the WEAP Help. You might also review the section on Groundwater-Surface Water Interactions if you suspect this is a significant process missing from your model.

Thank you so much. I really appreciate your help.
As you said, the problem was from the headflow of my river. After a headflow correction i am getting a realistic unmet demand.
