Hello! Dearest WEAP members,
I need your help! It is urgent!
I was estimate surface water potential (by rainfall runoff, simplified coefficient method) for my watershed and also allocating the water to different water demands such as Irrigation, Livestock and environmental. But among the above water demands irrigation demand is not satisfied (unmet demand occurred) for current scenario, so what are your suggestion to cover the irrigation demand for current scenario? Can I balance the supply and demand for the purpose of optimally allocating the water? The unmet demand was occurred during dry season because of the supply delivery during this season is small.
And also I want to develop future irrigation expansion scenario. Can I developing reservoir scenario on WEAP model to satisfy the unmet demand (increasing supply by collecting water during wet season) or decreasing the irrigation area? Please help me if there is any solution.
Thank you in advance!
Dr. Vania Paccagnan

Good afternoon,
I would also recommend simulating an improved water efficiency scenario, by decreasing the agricultural water requirements over time, in a similar way as done in the tutorial.
Good luck.
