Subject: Regarding WEAP model reservoir calibration

Hello everyone

I was doing calibration of WEAP simulation of reservoir water level using observed water level. And, I noticed that the peak levels are not being simulated well. The simulated reservoirs level for the peak flow( three months of rainy season) are constant. Is there anything I failed or missed to do?

Dear Betelhem,
WEAP releases water from reservoirs based on downstream demand (including Flow Requirements). For this reason, if precipitation/runoff is outpacing demand, your simulated reservoir will maintain its level at the Top of Conservation level set in the Operation tab for your Reservoir data.
You can force WEAP to release a certain volume of water by adding a Flow Requirement downstream of your reservoir.

Hello Anne

I just added the outflow from the reservoir and it has worked.

Thank you.
