Subject: Snow timestep attribute Posted: 9/30/2021 Viewed: 4869 times
Greetings WEAP Forum members
I've been working with the Glacier Module and Soil Moisture Method latelty, and have a few questions about its operation.
While reviewing the equations that govern the process, I noticed that the Snow Cover that transforms into ice, acording to the WEAP User Guide, corresponds to the snow that did not melted after twelve months.
Is there an attribute to every unit of snow that shows the timestep that it formed as Snow Depth? Is there a way to access this attribute?
If that were the case, when snowmelt is generated, does WEAP first consider snow that formed more recently? or does it first consider the oldest snow?
